OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is recognized worldwide as an industry leader in designing and producing high quality exhibits. Their exhibits regularly travel throughout the country and across the world.

Dreaming America was asked to evaluate an interactive exhibit about the dangers of hearing loss. The exhibit will not only educate children about the dangers of noise induced hearing loss, it will also collect valuable information for hearing loss researchers.

In addition to an examination of the prototype, we evaluated the audience and goals. From this analysis we formulated recommendations that would provide the audience (in this case, children 6-12) with an exhibit that they would be motivated to use - and tell their friends about. We suggested multiple interactive kiosk scenarios, encouraged a reward system, and analyzed the usability throughout the experience.

Dreaming America's outside perspective resulted in an evaluation that suggested numerous ways to improve the overall experience and provided a valuable asset to the OMSI development team.
