When 800.com partnered with Sony to create the first fully licensed internet only retail outlet for Sony products, Dreaming America worked with 800.com to create the Home Entertainment Universe. Our design leveraged the existing look and feel of both the 800.com and Sony sites, synthesizing the different design aesthetics into a distinctive showcase for the Sony products. The site is designed to give the site user a quick education in the finer points of home electronics. Users click through the site to find information about every component in a home entertainment system. At the next level, the site provides information about assembling and configuring the system's components. The Home Entertainment Universe incorporates 800.com's compare engine, encouraging site users to compare Sony products and purchase products online.
